MJP Wealth Advisors a Sponsor at the Travelers Championship Tournament

MJP Wealth Advisors was proud to be one of the sponsors of the Travelers Championship, a local tradition for nearly 70 years. A best-in-class PGA TOUR event, the tournament is played annually at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT.

In keeping with PGA TOUR tradition, the net proceeds from the Travelers Championship are donated to charity. This year, the event will benefit the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, CT. The mission of the organization is to provide a healing experience where children are not defined or limited by their illnesses. At the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, children can enjoy  traditional camp activities like arts and crafts, horseback riding, fishing, and archery, while receiving their necessary medical treatments (both onsite and through the organization’s ties to area hospitals.) The Hole in the Wall Gang also provides programs of support and community for the children's parents and siblings. The camp is free to eligible campers and their families, and community support through events like the Travelers Championship helps to keep it going.

Last year, Travelers Championship proceeds provided more than $2 million to support charitable organizations throughout the region. This year, the event aims to surpass that goal. The Travelers Championship tournament took place last week, culminating on June 23rd. It will host 156 players, including defending champion Bubba Watson. MJP Wealth Advisors is proud to add our support to this event, standing alongside sponsors from national and local companies to help advance the important work being done for children and families in our community.  For more information on the ways in which MJP Wealth Advisors supports our community, please visit our Giving Back page.
